Question & Answer

What is Jamie Hansen’s professional background, and what kind of work does she do now?

Jamie is a therapist by training and a licensed professional counselor. Today, she helps organizations improve workplace culture by strengthening “people pieces” like leadership, communication, and relationships through her company, Alloy Solutions.

What inspired Jamie to go to graduate school and become a counselor?

While working as the executive director of a domestic violence shelter, she realized she couldn’t advise women the way she wanted without a counseling degree. That pushed her to earn her master’s so she could better serve people in crisis.

How did Jamie transition from counseling to leadership training and business consulting?

She was running a large counseling practice when she joined Maxwell Leadership (2013). Later, her son Lincoln offered to help her build the business side, so she sold her share of the practice and launched Alloy Solutions to focus more on training, speaking, and consulting.

What outcomes do companies typically report after working with Jamie and her team?

Clients often say workplace relationships improve, teams become more aligned, and communication and conflict skills get stronger. Many also describe her sessions as engaging, practical, and some of the best training they’ve attended.

What’s a major personal season Jamie shared, and what lesson did she take from it?

Jamie shared going through betrayal and divorce, and said the deepest wound was feeling “not worth knowing the truth.” Her takeaway was that you can still serve while you’re suffering, and that God can use broken places, not just polished ones.
