Question & Answer

Who is Debbi Sluys and what is her mission?
Debbi is a Christian, wife, mom of four, and grandma, plus the founder of Dare to Declare Academy. She’s a coach, trainer, author, and speaker who helps people declare their truth and create the life of their dreams, using vision boards to expand what they believe is possible.
What does Debbi help people do through vision boards?
She helps people get clear on their future, identify what they truly want, and keep their vision in front of them daily. Vision boards become a “north star” that supports goals, confidence, and action, not just wishful thinking.
How did Debbi’s background in childcare connect to her coaching and vision board work?
Debbi spent about 30 years in childcare leadership, guiding teams and supporting development through a “reflective inquiry” style, which is similar to coaching. She believes adults learn best with education, entertainment, and empowerment, and vision boarding brings all three together in a fun, hands-on way.
What difficult moment did Debbi share from her past, and what did it change?
-
Debbi shared she had a mini-stroke at work due to intense stress and pushing through nonstop. Two powerful questions later helped shift everything:
-
“What’s the price you’re paying for not following your dream?”
-
“What’s the price those around you are paying for you not following your dream?”
That led her to leave her job in January 2020, trust God, and fully pursue Dare to Declare.
What encouragement did Debbi leave with the audience?
She taught a simple three-step framework: Ask, Believe, Receive.
