Question & Answer

What inspired you to move from a traditional career path into sales and entrepreneurship?
I originally studied chemistry and biology with plans to become a doctor. While working at the CDC during college, I realized the reality of the job wasnβt what I had imagined. I then took a medical sales job to explore another path. Over time, sales became my career for 22 years, and it eventually opened the door for me to help others through coaching and entrepreneurship.
Youβve built a very successful career in sales. What makes your approach different?
My philosophy is the opposite of traditional βpushyβ sales tactics. Instead of treating people like dollar signs, I focus on authentic conversations and genuine human connection. Sales should be about serviceβhelping someone make a decision that supports their growth, not pressuring them into something they donβt want.
Was there a moment that shifted your life and career direction?
Around 2012β2013, I experienced a spiritual awakening. Even though I had checked all the traditional boxesβcareer, family, homeβI still felt empty inside. That led me to meditation, mindfulness, and studying human potential. Eventually, I realized my purpose was helping people, which led me to combine my passion for personal development with my expertise in sales.
What advice would you give entrepreneurs who struggle with selling?
First, let go of the belief that sales has to feel uncomfortable or manipulative. When you truly care about people and approach conversations with curiosity and service, sales becomes natural. The key is focusing on the other person and helping them move past fear so they can say yes to the transformation they want.
Whatβs next for you and your mission?
Iβm excited about creating more in-person events and experiences where entrepreneurs can connect on a deeper level. Human connection matters more than ever, especially in an AI-driven world. Iβm also planning a new book about the idea that βselling is sacredββbecause when done with integrity, sales can truly change lives.
