Question & Answer

What inspired you to transition from health and fitness into leadership and communication?
After 34 years in health and fitness, I felt a clear shift into what I call “Act Two” of my life. I had always loved leadership and had followed John Maxwell’s teachings for years. Becoming certified helped me realize that communication, connection, and adding value to others was the deeper calling God had placed on my heart. It wasn’t a sudden leap—it was a natural progression.
How did your childhood shape the work you do today?
Growing up, we moved 55 times by the time I was 24. That constant change left me struggling with identity and belonging. Then at 16, I experienced a traumatic event that deeply affected my confidence. For years, I felt unworthy and insecure. Learning to reclaim my voice, confidence, and presence—especially through body language—became part of my healing. Today, I help others do the same.
Why is body language such a central part of your teaching?
Because communication is only 7% words. Thirty-eight percent is tone and 55% is body language. Most people focus only on what they say, but how you show up physically—your posture, eye contact, and presence—determines how others feel around you. My goal is to help people use that 93% intentionally so others feel seen, valued, and understood.
What does your “perfect day” look like professionally?
Speaking or leading a workshop. I love interactive experiences where audiences don’t just listen—they participate. Whether it’s a keynote or team training, my goal is transformation. If people leave with practical tools they can apply immediately, that’s a perfect day for me.
What message would you share with someone who feels unworthy or is walking through hardship?
Your story is not over. Even in persecution, loss, or hardship—especially for those standing firm in their faith—God is not done with you. There is purpose and favor over your life. Sometimes growth comes through the uncomfortable. Lean in, trust Him, and remember: you are worthy right now.
