Guest Information

Rachel Borntrager is a national board-certified holistic health coach, wellness advocate, and founder of Purposeful Health based in northeast Montana. A wife and mother of five—three biological children and two welcomed through adoption—Rachel’s passion for health and healing is rooted in her own personal journey.

Growing up as an obese and dyslexic child, Rachel struggled with confidence, identity, and feeling different from others. Food became her coping mechanism during those challenging years. Determined to change her life, she began transforming her health in high school and later deepened that journey while balancing marriage, motherhood, and a demanding career in radiology. After stepping away from hospital work to focus on her family, Rachel lost over 70 pounds and experienced firsthand how factors like sleep, stress, blood sugar balance, and gut health dramatically affect the body.

Motivated by her transformation, Rachel became a holistic health coach dedicated to helping busy moms achieve sustainable weight loss and lasting wellness. Rather than promoting quick fixes, she focuses on restoring the body’s natural balance through blood sugar regulation, gut restoration, stress transformation, improved sleep, and mindset renewal.

A pivotal moment in her career came when her young nephew experienced a severe food reaction that led Rachel and her family to seek deeper answers about health. This experience inspired her to pursue advanced training in holistic wellness and electromal screening, allowing her to help clients uncover root causes of health issues instead of simply masking symptoms.

Through her practice, Purposeful Health, Rachel works with clients locally and around the world to reduce inflammation, balance hormones, restore energy, and support the body’s natural healing rhythms. She offers personalized health programs, nutritional guidance, and wellness retreats designed to help people move from feeling exhausted, hopeless, and desperate to becoming hopeful, inspired, and empowered.

Rachel is also passionate about supporting adoptive mothers, drawing from her own family’s experiences. She is actively creating spaces—through online summits and retreats—to encourage and equip adoptive moms so they know they are not alone in their journey.

Rachel’s mission is simple yet powerful: to help people understand their bodies, reclaim their health, and rediscover hope. As she often says, “When we know better, we can do better—and healing begins with understanding.”
