I just had the honor of interviewing the incredible Amberly Brown Lago inside my You Are Worthy Network. ❤️
Amberly is a USA Today bestselling author of Joy Through the Journey, an internationally renowned speaker, coach, podcast host, loving wife, and proud mother. She has inspired audiences around the world with her message of grit, resilience, faith, and human connection.
During our conversation, Amberly vulnerably shared her life-changing motorcycle accident in 2010 and the 34 surgeries that followed in an effort to save her leg. Through unimaginable pain, she remained determined to not only walk again but to return to training athletes and pursuing her purpose. 💪
Yet one of the most powerful parts of her story was her honesty about the internal battles she faced. Amberly opened up about feelings of unworthiness that eventually led to alcohol addiction. In her darkest moments, she cried out to God for help—and He faithfully met her there. 🙏
Her journey is a beautiful reminder that healing is possible, hope is real, and our setbacks do not define us.
One message she emphasized over and over was:
👉 Don’t do it alone. Reach out.
Whether you’re struggling emotionally, physically, spiritually, or mentally, there is strength in asking for help. There are people who care.
Amberly also challenged us to serve others no matter our circumstances. Even while lying in a hospital bed recovering from surgery, she chose to listen to nurses who needed someone to talk to. What a powerful example of finding purpose even in pain. ❤️
Her story reminded us that joy isn’t found after the journey—it’s found through the journey.
Thank you, Amberly, for your courage, authenticity, and willingness to share your story so others can find hope in theirs. ✨
