In this powerful episode of the You Are Worthy Network Podcast, I had the privilege of sitting down with Elaine Lankford, founder of She Steps Forward Coaching and She Steps Forward International.
Before becoming a leader, speaker, author, and coach, Elaine devoted years to serving others in healthcare. She attended nursing school, became a registered nurse, advanced to the role of Pain Management Coordinator at her local hospital, and eventually served as a Nurse Practitioner for several years. Her passion for helping people has always been evident, but God had an even bigger assignment waiting for her.
💔 In 2008, Elaine found herself facing one of the most difficult crossroads of her life. Within a short period of time:
▪️ Her father passed away suddenly.
▪️ Her husband was diagnosed with cancer.
▪️ The clinic where she worked unexpectedly shut down.
What followed was a multi-year wilderness season filled with uncertainty, questions, and challenges. Yet through it all, God was preparing her for a new purpose.
🙏 Praise God, her husband recovered, and what seemed like a season of loss became the foundation for a ministry and mission that now impacts women around the world.
🌍 Today, through She Steps Forward Coaching and She Steps Forward International, Elaine equips Christian women to launch and grow businesses, ministries, and nonprofits while pursuing the dreams God has placed in their hearts.
Since 2020, Elaine and her team of volunteers have served more than 1,000 women through conferences and entrepreneurial intensives held in both the United States and Kenya. She has witnessed countless women move from:
✅ Insecure to confident
✅ Stuck to focused
✅ Overwhelmed to fulfilled
📖 Elaine is also the author of Love Echoed Back and continues to pour into women through her coaching programs, leadership development, and global outreach efforts.
