💭 What happens when a woman who spent years feeling like an afterthought finally realizes she was worth fighting for?
That is the powerful story of my conversation with the remarkable Andrea Frances Merrill on the You Are Worthy Network Podcast. 🎙️
Andrea is the founder of Andrea Merrill Co., a boutique speaker messaging and marketing firm that helps experts become unforgettable on stage and impossible to ignore off it. 🎤
But Andrea’s story didn’t begin with success.
She grew up in a traumatic household where her mother’s choices often left Andrea feeling like an afterthought. 💔 As a young girl, she began using over-the-counter medications to numb some of the pain she was carrying.
At just 15 years old, she met the man who would eventually become her husband. While they obviously didn’t marry at that age, his presence provided stability and encouragement during a season when Andrea was contemplating quitting school altogether.
She didn’t quit. ❤️
She graduated, went on to higher education, and excelled. 🎓
Years later, while pregnant with her fifth child, Andrea discovered she had a small tumor that was putting pressure behind her eyes and causing debilitating migraines.
Then, at 34 weeks pregnant, she faced emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix. 😳
She survived MRSA while in the hospital.
After several difficult days, she finally went home to recover.
Only a week later, her water broke.
Back to the hospital. 🏥
And after her daughter was born, the challenges didn’t stop.
🏠 Her house was in foreclosure.
💧 The water was turned off.
🚐 The family van was in such bad shape that it actually caught fire.
And yet, somehow, Andrea kept moving forward. 🙏
Eventually, she taught a friend how to make money onlineβand watched her friend generate substantial income. Andrea realized she could do it too.
She started her own business and generated significant income in just one week. 💰
Today, after more than 20 years as a behavior and trauma therapist, Andrea brings a unique understanding of psychology, human behavior, communication, and decision-making to the speaking industry.
Her work has helped clients generate more than $80 million in revenue, land TEDx stages, increase their speaking fees, and create talks that turn audiences into clients. 🚀
Her expertise has also been featured by CNN, NBC, and ABC. 📺
But what I love most about Andrea’s work is that she doesn’t simply teach speakers how to tell better stories.
She helps them uncover the story they’ve been overlooking all along. 🔎
The story that establishes authority.
The story that builds trust.
The story that makes them unforgettable. ✨
And perhaps most importantly, she helps people move from:
😨 Fearful β Confident
❓ Disbelief β Relieved
💔 Unworthiness β Strategic
Andrea reminded us during our conversation that sometimes we are simply too close to our own story to recognize its power.
📖 The story is already in you.
You just have to be willing to set it free.
And Andrea also shared something incredibly important:
🤝 Find your support system. And lean on those people.
You don’t have to navigate the hard seasons alone.
And that’s something I hope you take away from this conversation.
❤️ You are not an afterthought.
💪 You are not defined by the trauma you’ve experienced, the setbacks you’ve endured, or the seasons when you couldn’t see a way forward.
🔥 You are worthy of fighting for.
And sometimes, the very story you wish you could erase becomes the story that gives someone else permission to keep going.

Because the story that could change everything might already be inside you.
✨ You just have to set it free.
