🎙️ I recently had the privilege of interviewing the incredible Meg Morgan Hays inside the You Are Worthy Network, and what an inspiring conversation it was! ❤️
Meg Hays is the owner of Meg Hays Creative, a keynote speaker, 2x best-selling author, communications expert, and storyteller who is passionate about helping people communicate with confidence, share their stories, and make a meaningful impact in the world. 📚🎤✨
A graduate of the University of Memphis with a degree in Journalism, Meg began her career as a crime reporter in her hometown of Paris, Tennessee. 📰 What started as a passion for storytelling eventually grew into a calling to help others discover the power of their own voices and the value of their own experiences.
During our conversation, Meg courageously shared a deeply personal part of her story.
At just eight years old, she experienced a traumatic accident when a teenage boy riding a bicycle accidentally ran into her, and the handlebars struck her throat, crushing her esophagus. 🚲💔
While she eventually recovered physically, the emotional effects of that trauma lingered for years. Like many people, Meg carried wounds that weren’t visible to others. The experience influenced her confidence, her self-worth, and the way she saw herself as she navigated life.
Yet through that journey, she discovered something powerful: our struggles do not have to define us.
🌱 They can strengthen us.
🌱 They can shape us.
🌱 They can prepare us to help others.
One of the most powerful themes of our conversation was the importance of vulnerability. Meg reminded us that when we are willing to share our stories honestly, we create connection. We help others realize they are not alone. We give people permission to embrace their own journeys and find hope in the midst of their challenges. ❤️
As an author, speaker, and communications professional, Meg has dedicated her life to helping others find the courage to tell their stories. She believes that every person has a message worth sharing and that our experiences—both the victories and the struggles—can become a source of encouragement for someone else.
📖 Your story matters.
📖 Your experiences matter.
📖 Your voice matters.
And sometimes the very chapter you wish you could erase becomes the chapter that helps someone else keep going.
Meg’s journey from a small-town reporter to a sought-after speaker, bestselling author, and storytelling expert is a beautiful example of what can happen when we choose courage over fear and purpose over pain. ✨
This conversation was filled with wisdom, authenticity, hope, and encouragement. If you’ve ever questioned your value, struggled with confidence, or wondered whether your story could make a difference, this interview will remind you that your life experiences have purpose and your voice has power. ❤️
Thank you, Meg, for sharing your heart, your wisdom, and your journey with our community.
✨ Because your story can change someone’s life.
